The fastest way to reach Earl is through the channel — comments and channel messages are read, and a good number of the questions that come in have turned into chapters.

Trouble with your download

If your file did not arrive, check the spam folder for the receipt from Gumroad first, since that is where it usually is. If it is not there, reply to the Gumroad receipt or contact Gumroad support with your order number and the file will be re-sent. Gumroad handles all order records for this product.

A correction to the book

If a chapter sends you wrong, say so. There will be another edition, and corrections from readers are how the second one gets better than the first. Include the chapter number and what your pile did.

Please note

Earl cannot diagnose an individual pile from a photograph, and does not advise on commercial or municipal composting, on regulated waste handling, or on anything involving human waste. Chapter 59 is the diagnostic walkthrough and it will get you further than a message can: run the four dials in order — is there anything worth eating, is it damp like a wrung-out sponge, can air get through it, and is it big enough to hold its own heat.
